Paul Patras

About me

I am currently a research fellow at the Hamilton Institute of the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. Previously, I was a research assistant at Institute IMDEA Networks (Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies in Networks) and a PhD student at the Telematics Engineering Department of University Carlos III of Madrid, where I worked under the supervision of Dr. Albert Banchs.

My research interests include performance optimization in IEEE 802.11 wireless LANs, adaptive MAC mechanisms, quality of service provisioning in wireless mesh networks, dynamic spectrum access, prototype implementation and testbeds.
